Head of CSUS 

Dr. Yoav Fromer is the head of the Center for the Study of the United States at Tel Aviv University and a fellow in the School of Government. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Fromer's research explores the relationship between politics and literature and focuses primarily on modern American Liberalism, Conservatism, and American Foreign Policy in the Middle East and U.S.-Israel relations.

Or Asher
Project Manager

Mr. Or Asher holds a BA in History & Political Science (with Honors) from Tel Aviv University and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on comparative constitutional frameworks and civil society as well as rightwing movements and Israeli conservatism.

Hadar Draiman
Event Coordinator & Public Outreach Manager

Ms. Hadar Draiman holds a BA in Anthropology & Sociology and in English & American Studies (with honors) from Tel Aviv University. Hadar is currently pursuing her MA in American History at TAU and her points of interest are military history, the carceral state, and immigration with a focus on second generation Latino-Americans.

Yossi Edry
Project Associate & Research Assistant

Yossi Edry is a PhD candidate at the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies at Tel Aviv University. His dissertation, “Magic Time: Race and Basketball in the Post-Civil Rights Era U.S and the Making of the New Black Athlete, 1968-1992,” examines changes in the cultural representations of black basketball players in the National Basketball Association (NBA), a unique sphere to examine issues of race, masculinity and identity, sports and politics. Edry received his B.A. and M.A. (Hons.) from Tel Aviv University. His doctoral research has been supported by the Zalman Aran Graduate Scholarship, Tel Aviv University’s Center for the Study of the United States, and the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies.
